AMC's Rebel was the most powerful stock car available in the late 50's and continued to impress through the 60s. When it debuted at a measly $3000 in 1957 people were surprised by AMC's move to a larger, more expensive car. It was a deal however for what the purchaser was getting. In the 60s it continued with style, power, and a convertible model.
